Privacy Policy for the app “Hello Again”

Last updated: 13 August 2026

This privacy policy explains how the app “Hello Again” for iOS (the “app”) handles your data. It applies to this app only, not to any websites, app stores or third-party social media profiles.

1. Controller

The controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and service provider under § 5 of the German Digital Services Act (DDG) is:

Andreas Maier

Dürerstr. 14, 73547 Lorch, Germany

Email: support@amapps.app

2. No data protection officer

No data protection officer under Art. 37 GDPR has been appointed, as there is no legal obligation to do so (individual, no large-scale processing of personal data). For any privacy questions, please contact the controller directly.

3. Overview and principle

“Hello Again” is a habit companion: you add habits and check them off once a day. The controller operates no servers of his own and does not collect, receive or store any personal data about users.

Because the app never connects to anything, your IP address is never transmitted and no connection data arises anywhere.

4. No third parties

The app integrates no third-party services: no maps, no remotely hosted fonts, no payment processing, no ad networks, no third-party crash reports. There is no transfer to third countries, because there is no transfer at all.

5. Data stored locally

WhatWhereHow long
The names of your habitslocal database on your deviceuntil you delete them or remove the app
Days checked off (a date per habit)local database on your deviceuntil you delete them or remove the app
Chosen colour and orderlocal database on your deviceuntil you change them or remove the app

This data lives in a shared area of your device that the app and its home screen widget both use — both belong to this app. The data is never transmitted, neither to the controller nor to third parties.

A backup of your device (via iCloud or a computer) may include it as a system function; the app has no influence over that. The app itself offers no iCloud sync — your habits will not appear on a second device by themselves.

6. Permissions

The app requests no permissions: no location, no contacts, no microphone, no camera, no photos, no notifications — and not even network access.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77).

Since the controller neither collects nor stores any personal data about you, these rights cannot be exercised against him in relation to the app — there is simply no data. All data created in the app stays on your device; you delete it by removing the habits in question or the app itself.

Supervisory authority for the controller: Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.

8. Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated when the app changes. The version available here is the applicable one; the date above states when it was last revised.
