Frequently asked questions

What does the app do?

You add habits and check them off once a day. Below each one, a grid of the last five weeks fills in, along with a count: “14 day streak”. That is deliberately all it does — the point is the chain you don’t want to break.

How do I add a habit?

Tap the plus in the top right, enter a name, pick a colour, save.

How do I edit or delete a habit?

Tap the card to open the editor. There you can change the name and colour; “Delete habit” sits at the bottom. Alternatively, press and hold the card: the menu offers Edit and Delete. We ask before deleting, because the whole streak goes with it.

I missed a day. Is my streak gone?

Not straight away. As long as yesterday is checked, the streak keeps running even if today is still open — otherwise every chain would reset at midnight. Only when yesterday is missing too does it start over.

Can I fill in a past day?

Not at the moment. Checking off applies to today. Tell us if you need it — we are listening.

How do I put the widget on my home screen?

Press and hold an empty area of the home screen, then “Edit” → “Add Widget” and choose “Hello Again”. In the medium and large sizes you can check off directly in the widget, without opening the app. This requires iOS 17 or newer.

Why does the grid only show five weeks?

Because more would be empty at the start. A wider grid is planned as a later update, once there is enough history to fill it.

Will my data move to a new iPhone?

If you restore the new device from a backup: yes, the data is included. There is currently no iCloud sync of its own — if you set the new device up as new, you start over.

What does the app cost?

Nothing. No ads, no account, no subscription, no in-app purchases.

Does the app need an internet connection?

No. The app makes no network connections at all and works entirely offline.

Which languages does the app support?

36 languages. It follows your device’s language setting.
